As an Austin lifestyle photographer my approach to newborn sessions is to authentically document families. Whether its in their home, capturing every detail of the nursery, a classic white studio for timeless photographs, or outdoors to embrace nature, your photographs will transport you back in time. Once I receive your inquiry I'll share detailed information about my session offerings from single sessions to my most popular choice for growing families, my Milestone Collection membership. I'll also share information about my artwork offerings which includes albums, matted prints, and digital galleries.

Once your session date is reserved we'll plan your wardrobe. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to find a dress during pregnancy and postpartum and why I offer a client closet that flatters you during every stage of motherhood. We'll also plan coordinating outfits for your family.

Whether your session is in-home, at a studio, or outdoors I will gently direct you and your family and capture your heartfelt interactions. 

In-home and studio sessions are conducted in the morning for the best light and outdoor sessions are most often conducted in the evening before sunset. 

After your session we'll revisit your artwork preferences and I will guide you through the process of selecting your favorite images for product options such as matted prints and albums. Once your selections have been made you can expect to receive your heirloom-quality artwork within 10 weeks. Digital galleries will be received within 4 weeks.

WHAT IS THE MILESTONE COLLECTION? 

Our Milestone Collection is the most popular option for expecting families. This collection is customizable to include up to four full length custom portrait sessions to document baby's first year ensuring every milestone is captured. Session options are:

Maternity, Fresh 48, Newborn, Sitting Up, Walking, &
Baby's First Birthday 

When Should I Schedule a newborn Session? 

I recommend scheduling your Newborn Session within the first 6 weeks of baby's life to ensure the tiniest details can be captured. Babies are also sleepiest in the first 2 weeks when they are home from the hospital. I will add that some mommas find they need more time to feel physically ready for portraits and schedule their session a few weeks after baby's birth. However, if you find that the newborn window has passed and you're still wanting portraits of your baby you can expect a more expressive and sometimes predictable baby!  

Can I book a Single Session? 

Yes, you can book a single session. Session options are:

Maternity, Fresh 48, Newborn, Sitting Up, & Baby's First Birthday
